Abstract

The advancement of clinical science and medical service frameworks increments radically. A vast amount of data is generated in our bodies. Hence Ultra Wide Band (UWB) range band 3.1GHz to 10.6GHz plays a vital role in biomedical applications. To build a UWB antenna for off/on body radiation, the following performance criteria are essential such as low Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), low power consumption, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR)<2, high bandwidth (BW), high efficiency. The UWB antenna provides a broad range of frequencies with low SAR values. As the quality of power transmission is low, UWB antennas are most suitable for wireless body area networks. Among the various types of antennas, the microstrip patch antennas are widely used in wireless applications. They are generally utilized in remote applications because of their safety, minimal expense, lightweight, and miniature hardware. This paper displays body research worn patch antennas design and development for various applications at the resonant frequency of 5.6 GHz. The proposed antenna is designed, and the same is simulated using High-Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), which resonates at 5.6GHz. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
