Abstract
- Here, we report a visible promotion effect of the B<subscript>2</subscript>O<subscript>3</subscript> additive on FeO<subscript>x</subscript>/Si<subscript>3</subscript>N<subscript>4</subscript> catalysts in the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene. The oxygen reactivity of FeO<subscript>x</subscript> was alleviated by the strong interaction between FeO<subscript>x</subscript> and BO<subscript>x</subscript> species, which suppresses the overoxidation of ethylbenzene and styrene to carbon oxides, thus promoting styrene selectivity.
