Abstract
- Due to the diversity and inaccuracy in media communications, the effect of awareness programs includes positive and negative emotions which are aroused by the prevalence of media coverage on infectious diseases. In this paper, an epidemic model with positive and negative information is proposed on heterogeneous network. Firstly, the basic reproduction number of infectious disease transmission is carried on, and the global stability of disease‐free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium is analyzed. Secondly, three time‐varying control schemes are offered to contain the contact infection rate and enhance the implementation rate of positive information for improving people's awareness and reducing the number of infected and the cost of control. In addition, under the principle of the Pontryagin minimization, the combination strategy is analyzed to form a solution for optimal control. Finally, the numerical simulations are performed to verify the analytical findings, that is, the optimal control effectively reduces the final infected scale and control cost. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
