Abstract
- The article discusses how Edmund Husserl draws on the quasi-religious and theological concepts of "conversion" and "renewal" to describe the phenomenological epokhē, or transcendental reduction. The suspension of the naturalist interpretation of the world allows for a principled and methodic reorientation towards an ideal that is revealed through intuition of essence.
