Abstract
- Atrial fibrillation (AF) in adults is the most common sustained arrhythmia and is, in majority of patients, initially asymptomatic.[1] However, AF and its complications contribute significantly and negatively to patients' quality of life as well as cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. However, potential applications of HRV for AF screening could also be extended to cardiovascular implantable electronic devices, especially these which use cannot directly lead to subclinical AF diagnosis.
