Abstract

Taking acetyl hexapeptide-8 liposome as the research object, the enzymatic resistance, sustained release ability, skin penetration ability, the efficacy on human skin and the safety thereof, were studied by in vitro and in vivo methods. The results showed that, in an in vitro enzymatic environment simulated by skin extracts, acetyl hexapeptide-8 liposome was resistant to the enzymatic degradation, which was better than acetyl hexapeptide-8. In the in vitro environment of normal saline, acetyl hexapeptide-8 liposome had sustained release ability, which was better than acetyl hexapeptide-8. According to the observation of in vitro animal skin, the skin penetration of acetyl hexapeptide-8 liposome was better than that of acetyl hexapeptide-8. The effects of acetyl hexapeptide-8 liposome emulsion in anti-wrinkling and increasing the water content of stratum corneum were significantly better than that of the acetyl hexapeptide-8 emulsion with the same peptide content. Acetyl hexapeptide-8 liposome was safe, and it could be an active ingredient for anti-wrinkle and moisturizing skin care products. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
