VENTRICULAR SEPTAL DEFECT FOLLOWING NONPENETRATING TRAUMA.

A patient with traumatic ventricular septal defect following nonpenetrating trauma is reported and the surgical literature reviewed. Successful repair using cardiopulmonary bypass was performed three months after the injury. The postoperative course was uneventful.
