Abstract

The civic body has set up isolation wards in multiple hospitals, surveillance systems to identify cases and track Measles-Rubella vaccine dropouts, and vaccination sessions across Mumbai to control the spread of the disease. Disruption of the routine immunization programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic has widened the vaccine coverage gap even further, resulting in nearly 3 million children in India not receiving any doses of the measles vaccine [[7]].
