Abstract

The article offers information about the potential for recurrent outbreaks of monkeypox (mpox) among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) in the United States. It discusses the risk for future outbreaks dependent on the level of immunity in the population at risk and the implications for public health practice include increasing vaccination coverage among at-risk MSM and in jurisdictions with low immunity to reduce the risk and potential size of future mpox outbreaks.
