Abstract

The article discusses the installation of community fridges by libraries to address food insecurity in the U.S. Topics include increase in the number of residents facing food insecurity from 2019 to 2020 according to data from the nonprofit Feeding America, the emergence of Charleston County (S.C.) Public Library (CCPL) as one of several library systems to install community fridges, and how the libraries fill the fridges.
