Abstract

Current learning strategies need to involve students in assessing what is being studied, one of which is self-assessment and self-efficacy. Self-assessment and self-efficacy can help students to recognize their weaknesses or shortcomings in an effort to achieve learning goals. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-assessment and student self-efficacy with learning outcomes in the Chemical Physics courses. This research was conducted from August to September 2020 on 67 pre-service chemical teachers in Chemistry Education Departement who were taking Physical Chemistry courses. Collecting data using a self-assessment questionnaire and a self-efficacy questionnaire. The research method used in this research is correlational research. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive and multiple correlational analysis methods. The results showed that Self-assessment and Self-efficacy were closely related to learning outcomes. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient value of 0.786 which means it is included in the strong category. It can be concluded that when students have high self-assessment and self-efficacy, the results obtained will also be satisfactory. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
