Abstract

The inferior wall pattern of decreased perfusion with hypermetabolic activity, i.e., perfusion-metabolic mismatch, can be seen in both sarcoidosis and hibernating ischemic myocardium. 2023 Image 6 result: <superscript>18</superscript>F-FDG PET in a patient with cardiac sarcoidosis and hibernating myocardium: A case report In this patient, given the minimal coronary calcification and absence of high-risk plaque features, as well as the active cardiac sarcoidosis, the epicardial coronary disease is most likely due to sarcoidosis-associated coronary artery vasculitis, rather than atherosclerosis.
