Abstract

Response to the letter to the editor on "Long-term risk of herpes zoster following COVID-19: A retrospective cohort study of 2 442 686 patients" Furthermore, we are aware that previous studies have demonstrated an increased risk of herpes zoster after COVID-19 vaccination.[[4]] However, our study did not investigate the association between herpes zoster and the COVID-19 vaccine. Third, zoster vaccine is a significant confounding factor, and as a result, our study[2] excluded patients who had received the zoster vaccine. [Extracted from the article]
