In this literature review research study, the five research papers were chosen based on both novelty and discussion of important topics related to big data and analytics in a manner that serves the purpose of this research and also as per the research method described by Vom Brocke et al (2009). Various questions such as: Are there any changes in business analytics theories/practices since these five papers were written? Are the ideas and theories proposed in these five papers applicable? To what extent the issues mentioned in these five papers have been resolved?
