Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the features of mathematical modeling of sewer network systems. These systems are complex structures consisting of branched pipeline networks, structures, installations and equipment. Also, the work of all elements must be linked to each other. The problem considered in the article is very complex due to the presence of a large number of parameters and technological processes occurring in water supply and sanitation systems. Urban sewer networks are increasingly facing water quality problems as a result of many challenges such as population growth, urbanization and climate change. A promising way to solve these problems is the use of water quality models and the correct technical design of the sewer network. Most models are developed to predict and understand processes using experimental or field data. Although many models have been applied to real problems, the accuracy of the corresponding forecasts is generally moderate or, in some cases, poor. In this regard, in practice, to solve such problems, different types of modeling are used, including mathematical and streaming. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
