Abstract

There has been an upsurge in the number of cases of brain tumors in both adults and children in recent years. A brain tumor can be treated if the diagnosis and treatment are given on time. Thus, researchers and scientists are working towards developing a technique and method for identifying the type, location and size and stage of tumor. Deep learning is a branch of machine learning (ML) which has been very successful in lots of sectors, especially in the medical field because it can handle a lot of data. MRI images may now be used to diagnose brain tumors with remarkably high accuracy in terms of tumor kind and size due to deep learning and convolutional neural networks. The major goal of this study is to give a complete assessment of existing research and findings in identifying and classifying brain tumor by means of MRI scans. The study's findings will help researchers compare previous studies to future ones, as well as give an idea of the usefulness of various deep learning (DL) and machine learning (ML) methods.
