Abstract

This article examines the factors that influence tourists' intention to visit spiritual tourism destinations in Bali, with a focus on those who have seen virtual tours. The study finds that authentic experiences have a significant impact on tourists' cognitive and affective responses, attitude, and attachment to virtual tours, which in turn influence their intention to visit. However, perceived behavioral control does not have an effect on visit intention. The article suggests that service providers in the tourism sector can use virtual tours to increase tourist interest in visiting destinations. It also discusses the concept of spiritual tourism in Bali and proposes the integration of virtual tourism as a solution during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research methods include testing the validity and reliability of the research instrument and conducting a direct effect test. The results show that authentic experience, cognitive response, affective response, attitude, attachment to virtual tour, and perceived behavioral control all have significant effects on tourists' visit intentions. The study highlights the importance of positive experiences and influencing tourists' attitudes, cognitive and affective responses, and attachment to virtual tours through virtual tours. It suggests that future research should involve government authorities and consider mediating variables between perceived behavioral control and visit intention. [Extracted from the article]
