Abstract

Urban complex is an achievement of enhancing the mixed function of buildings and the convenience of regions in the urbanization process. Since the independence of self-governance, Singapore has embarked on mixed-use development, first on community complexes, then launching numerous influential commercial complexes in the last fifty years, contributing to the city's economic and social benefits. This paper outlines the evolution of urban complexes in Singapore following an analytic discussion on the features of a gathered distribution in the CBD and green-aspects reorganization. The space features identified in multiexperiencing space are driven by economy from a sustainable life-cycle to experiential core consumption space, then to create an immersive themed scene and upward sky garden scenario. Considering Singapore's urban planning goals, which are to create a diverse and enjoyable city, this paper finally focuses on the interpretation of future-oriented complex space trends to provide a reference to meet the architecture and urban space problems of China's urbanization process.
