Abstract

In the process of old city reconstruction, the extensive management and control system cause the evolution and disintegration of the overall style of historical urban areas, and the phenomenon of "having a district without a city" is widespread. In this regard, based on the policy consciousness of fine management, the research puts forward the goal requirements of guiding and controlling the style of historical urban areas in the new period. In other words, with the "boundary-pattern-unit" nested style system as the route, in the overall background of the integration of history and current style, it sorts out the list of fine controlled styles in the historical urban area under the approachable scale. With the case of Xiangyang Ancient City, this paper discusses the problems and corresponding planning strategies of fine management and control in practice, in order to provide some reflections for the restoration of historical urban features.
