Abstract

The article focuses on the distinct genomic landscape of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) resulting from the household use of smoky coal, particularly in Xuanwei, China. Topics include the significantly elevated risk of LUAD in never-smoking women exposed to smoky coal, the association between early-life smoky coal use and increased lung cancer risk, and the investigation of mutational processes underlying coal-related carcinogenesis through whole-genome sequencing.
