Abstract
- Various theoretical methods of determining the stress concentration in a butt weld are considered. The results obtained by analytical calculation and by the finite-element method are compared with variation in the geometric parameters. The most accurate formulas for the stress concentration with different numbers of parameters are determined, within a specified parameter range. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
