Abstract

The authors comment on the article "Slowing the Slide Down th Slippery Slope of Medical Assistance in Dying: Mutual Learnings for Canada and the US" by Daryl Pullman which uses a rhetorical device to immediately bias readers toward perceiving the increasing sanctioning of medical assistance in dying (MAiD) in Canada as descent into immoral nether regions. Topics include the MAiD legislation in the U.S. and their agreement with Pullman that decisions concerning MAiD are complicated.
