STUDIES ON VASCULAR SKIN RESPONSES IN ATOPIC DERMATITIS. THE INFLUENCE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS.

The article focuses on a paper presenting studies on vascular skin responses in atopic dermatitis. A rough psychiatric classification of patients with flexural prurigo would divide them into the extroverted and the introverted. The former give a normal response to intradermal histamine, in the latter the flare fails to appear, but in both the reaction may change under the influence of psychiatric treatment or adventitious emotional stimulus.
