Abstract

This scientific article delves into the significance of solving professional and ethical situations as a pivotal approach to fostering the professional and ethical competence of aspiring veterinarians. Professional ethics is an important component of the competence of a veterinarian, affecting the quality of care provided by him, relationships with clients and colleagues, as well as public confidence in the profession. The study explores the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical experiences in veterinary education, emphasizing the importance of ethical decision-making and problem-solving skills for successful veterinary practice. The article discusses the main ethical dilemmas faced by veterinarians, and also suggests methods and approaches to the development of professional and ethical competence of future specialists. It is stressed that case-based teaching methods and the incorporation of ethical dilemmas into the veterinary curriculum have a big impact on the development of inclusive and socially responsible veterinarians, aiming at the development of professional and ethical competence of future specialists.
