Abstract

A recent study conducted by the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India, and Taiwan examined the clinical settings, management, and outcomes of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment with concurrent choroidal detachment (RRDCD). The study included 303 eyes and found that factors such as the use of pre-operative steroids, the use of an encircling band during surgery, and pseudophakic status of the eye were associated with better outcomes in RRDCD. The research provides valuable insights into the treatment and management of retinal detachment, which can inform future medical practices. [Extracted from the article]
