Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Fujian Medical University Union Hospital in China focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of a female patient with lung adenocarcinoma who experienced a relapse and progression of the disease. The patient developed pancreatic metastasis and lung cancer-induced acute pancreatitis during follow-up treatment. The study highlights the importance of considering the possibility of pathological type transformation in the progression of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and emphasizes the need for close observation of tumor markers and re-biopsy pathological analysis. The research provides clinical experience and scientific reference for the discovery, diagnosis, and treatment of transforming small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and lung cancer-induced acute pancreatitis.
