Abstract

A recent case report from Hanoi Medical University discusses the multidisciplinary management of a patient with severe skeletal Class III malocclusion, anterior open bite, dentigerous cyst, and multiple restorations. The patient underwent orthodontic-orthognathic treatment, autotransplantation, cyst removal, and esthetic rehabilitation with porcelain veneers. The study highlights the importance of multidisciplinary treatment in orthognathic patients with compromised dentition. Autotransplantation was found to be a potential alternative to prosthetic implants, and entire arch distalization was suggested as an alternative to premolar extraction for presurgical orthodontic decompensation in cases of proclined incisors.
