Abstract
- The electrochemical CO<subscript>2</subscript> reduction reaction (CO<subscript>2</subscript>RR) activity of Ni<subscript>2</subscript>MnIn and Ni<subscript>2</subscript>MnSn Heusler alloys was investigated. Although pure In, Sn and Ni<subscript>2</subscript>MnIn generated formate as the major product, Ni<subscript>2</subscript>MnSn generated H<subscript>2</subscript> as the major product. The CO<subscript>2</subscript>RR selectivity could be controlled by selecting the constituent elements of the intermetallic catalysts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
