HYDROSULPHURISATION REACTIONS OF ALLYL DERIVATIVES OF ALTROPYRANOSE WITH MERCAPTANS.

In order to create biologically and physiologically active preparations, a synthesis of sulphur-containing glycosides of a new type was carried out. The hydrosulphation reactions of 1-O-allyl-2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-altropyranose with ethyl-, propyl-, and n-butylmercaptans in the presence of a neutral benzoyl peroxide catalyst were discussed. New synthesis methods have been developed. The antimicrobial activity of the synthesised products was studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
