Abstract
- A meta-analysis and trial sequential analysis was conducted to evaluate the risk of COVID-19 in patients with atopic dermatitis (AD). Seven studies were included in the analysis, which showed that the risk of COVID-19 in AD patients was similar to that of control subjects. The analysis also suggested that AD patients may have better hygiene habits and reduced social interaction, which could contribute to a lower infection risk. However, the impact of AD on the severity of COVID-19 was not analyzed. It is recommended that AD patients continue to practice prevention measures and consider teledermatology for follow-up visits.
