Abstract

A new study conducted by researchers at Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan has developed a device that can be used for home testing of food safety and physiological status. The device consists of a linear transport unit and a paper-based multiplexed colorimetric reaction unit, allowing for the detection of various targets such as nitrite, pesticides, lactate, and glycogen. The device provides a rapid and multiplexed naked-eye readout of the colorimetric response in just a few minutes. This convenient and affordable self-testing device could lead to earlier screening and referrals for further confirmation and treatment. [Extracted from the article]
