Abstract

Researchers at the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology in Punjab, India have developed a deep learning method using multi-layer perceptron (MLP) and long short-term memory (LSTM) to identify genes associated with Parkinson's disease. The method utilizes amino acid's physicochemical properties to construct a feature vector and employs feature extraction techniques to reduce noise and improve efficiency. The experimental results show that the proposed approach outperforms existing methods with higher recall, precision, and F-score. This research provides an efficient and accurate method for identifying and classifying genes related to Parkinson's disease. [Extracted from the article]
