Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China has found that hyodeoxycholic acid (HDCA) may have therapeutic potential for treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The study suggests that HDCA can alleviate NAFLD by modulating the gut-liver axis and activating hepatic CYP7B1 and PPAR alpha. The research highlights the importance of host-gut microbiota metabolic interactions in the development of NAFLD. These findings provide new insights into potential treatments for NAFLD and contribute to our understanding of the mechanisms underlying the disease. [Extracted from the article]
