Abstract
- This address was given as part of the rally and press conference held on January 9, 1990, in Jefferson City, the state capital of Missouri, calling for the repeal of subsection 3 of Missouri's Sexual Misconduct Law. Said section prohibited private, consenting sexual activity between adults of the same gender and had been targeted for repeal by the Privacy Rights Education Project, which organized a lobby day on January 9. Thomas was at this time the editor of the Lesbian and Gay News-Telegraph, the principal gay newspaper in Missouri. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
