Abstract

A study conducted by researchers from Ningbo University in China explored the relationship between a gene polymorphism and the subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) in renal tissues for patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN). The study aimed to predict the sensitivity of IMN patients to immunosuppressive therapy. The researchers found that the PLA2R gene polymorphism combined with the IgG subclass can be used to predict the response of IMN patients to immunosuppressive therapy. The study included 60 patients with IMN and was conducted at the First Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University. [Extracted from the article]
