Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba in Argentina examined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on public transport accessibility to hospitals in Cordoba. The study found that average travel times to hospitals increased by 20% during the pandemic, and there was a significant gap in accessibility between less vulnerable and more vulnerable populations. Despite the system almost fully recovering by 2023, the regressive tendency persisted, with a difference of up to 14 minutes in average travel time between these groups. The study highlights the need for improved accessibility to healthcare services for vulnerable populations. [Extracted from the article]
