Abstract

Researchers from the Federal University of Mato Grosso in Brazil have published a report on the optimization of wireless charging systems for implantable medical devices (IMDs). The study focuses on the use of a wireless power transfer system designed specifically for IMDs, with a particular emphasis on the PS topology and a Class-E amplifier. The researchers employed a Differential-Evolution-based algorithm to ensure the feasibility of their proposed solution. Simulation-based evaluations showed that the system achieved an efficiency exceeding 86%, even in the face of frequency fluctuations and variations in coil coupling. This research provides valuable insights into the development of efficient and reliable wireless charging systems for IMDs. [Extracted from the article]
