Abstract
- A recent study conducted at Taichung Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan aimed to validate the Japanese histological grading classification (JHGC) for predicting renal function deterioration in Taiwanese individuals with IgA nephropathy (IgAN). The study included 359 IgAN cases and found that JHGC effectively identified different severity levels of histological and clinical aspects in Taiwanese IgAN. However, the researchers recommend a new classification specifically for Taiwanese IgAN patients with increased case numbers in certain groups. This study provides valuable insights into the classification and prediction of renal function deterioration in Taiwanese individuals with IgAN. [Extracted from the article]
