Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom has provided new insights into mastadenovirus, specifically focusing on human adenovirus F41. This virus is known to cause gastroenteritis and diarrhea in children. The study found that the structure of HAdV-F41 is similar to other adenoviruses, but with some differences in certain protein regions. Additionally, HAdV-F41 has been linked to severe acute hepatitis in young children, which has raised questions about its ability to infect the liver. Further investigation is needed to fully understand the pathogenicity and virulence of HAdV-F41. [Extracted from the article]
