Abstract
- A recent report from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands explores the aversion to loss of local facilities and the psychological biases that influence people's perception of closure. The study found that individuals attach more value to facilities they are familiar with and that closure is negatively evaluated. The research suggests that the endowment effect, where people place more value on something they possess, plays a role in the perceived loss of local facilities. The study hopes to stimulate further research into the relationship between psychological biases, place attachment, and aversion to loss of place. [Extracted from the article]
