Abstract

A study conducted at Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital Biochip Laboratory in China investigated the role of microRNA (miR)-29a-3p in neonatal pneumonia (NP). The researchers found that miR-29a-3p was elevated in NP patients and played a role in inflammatory damage by targeting Kruppel-like Factor 4 (KLF4). Silencing miR-29a-3p alleviated lung injury and inflammation in newborn rats. This study provides insights into the molecular processes of NP and offers potential avenues for diagnosing and treating the condition. [Extracted from the article]
