Abstract

A study led by researchers at Drexel University has found that young adults who are more familiar with e-cigarette marketing practices are more likely to have negative attitudes towards vaping. The study surveyed 1,329 young adults who had never used tobacco products but were considered susceptible to vaping. The findings suggest that educating young people about e-cigarette marketing tactics can help reduce the number of new vape users. The study also found that Hispanic and Black young adults, as well as those with lower incomes, had less awareness of e-cigarette marketing practices and showed less agreement with anti-e-cigarette attitudes.
