Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at South China Agricultural University examined the impact of ICT-based Agriculture Extension Service (IAES) on farmers' diversification decisions in southern China. The study found that the use of IAES increased the likelihood of farm diversification by 24.7%. Additionally, IAES was found to have a positive effect on litchi growers' decision to integrate livestock, but no impact on intercropping. The researchers suggest that promoting the use of IAES can contribute to sustainable intensification of agriculture and improve rural livelihoods.
