Abstract

A bibliometric analysis conducted by researchers from Shanxi Medical University in China focused on the trends and hotspots in stem cell research for ischemic stroke. The study analyzed publications from 2001 to 2022 and found that the number of publications in this field has steadily increased over the years. China contributed the most publications, while the USA had the highest number of citations and was considered the center of international collaboration. The study identified neurogenesis, inflammation, and angiogenesis as key areas of research, with neural stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells being the most commonly used. The analysis provides valuable insights for scientists and may help advance the application of stem cell-based therapy for ischemic stroke. [Extracted from the article]
