University of Central Punjab Researchers Update Knowledge of Zika Virus (The analysis of a new fractional model to the Zika virus infection with mutant).

Researchers from the University of Central Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan have developed a new mathematical model to analyze the dynamics of the Zika virus (ZV) disease with the mutant in Colombia. The model is formulated initially in integer order derivative and then extended to a fractional order system. The researchers study the properties of the model and establish the basic reproduction number. They also show that the model does not possess the backward bifurcation phenomenon.
