Abstract
- A report from Flinders University in Australia explores the attitudes and practices of Australian parents regarding the provision of zero-alcohol beverages to adolescents. The study found that factors associated with parents providing these beverages included beliefs that they had benefits for adolescents, provision of alcoholic beverages, and an incorrect understanding of alcohol guidelines for adolescents. The research suggests that precautionary advice to parents about the potential normalization of alcohol consumption through the provision of zero-alcohol beverages may be warranted. The study was published in the journal Preventive Medicine. [Extracted from the article]
