Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Kongu Engineering College in Erode, India, has developed a new algorithm for detecting diabetic retinopathy (DR) using retinal fundus images. Diabetic retinopathy is a condition in which the retina of the eye is damaged in individuals with diabetes. The algorithm, called AnLoG, was found to have high accuracy (97.29%) in diagnosing DR compared to other machine learning algorithms. The research concluded that the proposed technique performs well and improves diagnostic accuracy for DR. [Extracted from the article]
