Abstract

Indonesia has temporarily grounded three Boeing 737 Max 9 jets following the Alaska Air accident. The country's discount carrier, Lion Air, operates these jets. Lion Air's 737 Max 8 was involved in one of the fatal crashes that led to the global grounding of the 737 Max fleet in 2019. It is worth noting that Lion Air's aircraft do not have plugs on their emergency exits due to their high-density configuration, which is not covered by the US FAA's grounding.
