EMOLLIENTS AND FLAMMABILITY: ANSWERING A BURNING QUESTION.

This paper, based on the author's winning presentation at the BDNG Annual Conference in 2021, considers the flammability and fire risk posed by emollients. To test different risk factors, the author partnered with a local fire brigade, following a conversation with her firefighter husband, to understand the risks posed by emollient-soaked cloths and to carry out practical experiments to see how these risk factors translated to real-world scenarios.
