A TRIAL OF AMOPYROQUIN IN THE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC DISCOID LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS.

The article presents information on a trial of amopyroquin in the treatment of chronic discoid lupus erythematosus. In this trial the dosage was 150 mg. per diem, the minimum recommended. All of the sixteen patients had chronic discoid lupus erythematosus for periods varying from 6 months to 23 years. Each had received either one or more antimalarial drugs in the past. Each patient was seen once weekly at the outset, and then every two weeks throughout the remainder of the trial. Prior to treatment in the trial a medical history was taken and a general examination was made.
